Singapore Garden Festival (Part 1)

Yeah I went to the flower fest yesterday with Yimei. Located at Suntec Convection Hall Lv 4 and 6. Huge place i tell you. We reached at about 2 plus going 3 and only finish about almost everything at 7 near 8! And camera dies before i finished taking everything, saded, missed my favourites china Crysanthmum, damn nice and beautiful can!!!!!! Hope my mum wants to go this weekend then I can complete my shoots. Whahaha...

Well I divided into parts cuz i got freaking lots of fotos, 500 plus of them, GASP!! I took only 300 plus on NDP and 100 plus on Christmas. Freak.

Anyway lets start. When we first entered we are greeted by Pumpkins. All shape and sizes and colours.



Farnie, and near it was exhibits about plant killers, disgusting bugs and diseases. And they have dishes of them for you to put under microscope. Vrrrrrrrr, disgusted.


These are the ones that killed all my plants last time. I hate the white mould most, eerie and disgusting. But fruits that has them on it taste better, must be they like them too.

Then there are the farm areas, with all the veggies growing.

Don't think they are fake cuz of their shinning surface, they are real and they rots.

Then there are my favourites, BOTTLE GARDENS!!!! So nice can!

Yeah, ex, they let ppl place bids and at the end of the show they get to have them. I wanted to buy one at the booths, but damn, one mid size bottle cost $58. I wanted to ask them what are the flowers suitable for planting in and do one myself, but there are nobody to enquire to. =(

Wooo, what are these?? Cute hor, ideas for CNY decos nxt year. Haha.


Then there are some great display of interesting and exotic plants. The carnivores in the plant releam, the pitcher plant aka 猪笼草.

They eat only insects, they don't grow up to enormous size like those in cartoons that opens and gobble human, if they do, they probably dies, cuz the exhibitor says meat are too nutritious for them to take. They eat oni insects like ants, grasshopper and flies etc.

And I bought a pet from there too. Let me introduce you to her.


The uncle pratically says its quite easy to take care of, they eat ants (the main reason i bought her. To terminate those at home.) Just feed some fertillzers once in 2 or 3 wks, little water, yada yada.... But when came back to my comp and Yahoo! a bit, i found out that I'm conned in abt half the things he said. Haiz, Yahoo! says ants are too small to be eated, and taking in fertillizers nutrients aren't good for them and they probably dies in 6 mths. They suggest self feed them with hoppers, maggots and other insects that can be purchase in aquarium shops.

But anyway, will try my best to get it up and alive cuz I'm competing with Yimei, see who will get them up healthy.

Anyway, exhibits till 25 dec, price is $12 at wkends, students at $5 and passion card, ntuc card holders oni $7.

And discover today that i have a super idiot and irritating neighbour. I went out today and he came back, i missed the lift he took, and i saw it went up, i tot there are others in the lift. When i reached the car park, i noticed my hp isn't with me so i travel back again, and i saw him coming down.

When i got my hp and was waiting for the lift, he came up again, and i stepped into the lift w/o assuring if it is going up or down, cuz nobody else is inside, so by right it is going down. But to my horror when i saw the buttons, it is lit 22 23 24 25!!!! KNS and it is going up. I managed to reset the buttons but the there is another neighbour coming in frm 23. This auntie must be thinking i'm stupid and dont know how to control the lift.

And i also notice that lots of Singaporeans have totally no idea of giving way to photographers. I was taking fotos today and was adjusting, some dumbells can just walk right infront of me n stand there to chat. Nabei waste my battery can, and thus i got not enuff battery to last through my whole day.

Any way, the good is coming. B patient.

Xmas 2006

Yeah went to Orchard some days ago and took fotos of the decos this yr. Golden Golden.




Lets start with the most popular one, and the reason why Santa decided not to come Singapore this year.



The Swarovski Crystal Tree at Heeren and the four other trees at the cross junction. Lets call them the....



Very nice, except for the green one, it looks like a haunted tree. Got water flowing sumore, like melting snow. Like the white one best.

Me and YM walke the whole strech and manage to capture most of them... others are out cuz... louya hands and camera...

Overall, the concept this year are abit better then the previous years. But compare to 10 yrs ago, its very bad. I always remember they had got those big bears and santa that moves, cute and lively.

Merry Christmas. I'm trying to get the pink trees at The Cathy out from my phone, but damn the connection. And I didn't know that my phone reception didn return after I exit NEL last night or my lift. Its "kor nok" until i discover it at late afternoon. Sorry i missed your messages, stiney. Haiz... why isn't my plan up yet, Singtel got freaking low prices these days can.

Third week on probation, decided not to join the co., the work is going to be chaotic lots of OTs, alt Sats to 1. But colleagues started to treat me nicer n nicer, makes me feel bad abt that. Boss is 85% not in office... and i still dont know how to tell. Though i haven had the chance to feel the chaoticness and OTs, cuz im webbing for the time being, but observing the others.... I FEEL SCARED ABT THE FREQUENCY OF THEIR OT. Abt 95 % of the whole wk!

Hmmmm.... ok... I know Nov 13 is not far away.. and ppl has start questioning me what I want. So..........., truely speaking I got no mood for that la. Lots of things going on in my mind.

I will just post anything I can think of now. (not in any order)

1. Hair curler, i dont want flat irons. I dont know which brand, and i dont need those with lots of head to change, just a simple curler will do, preferably medium or big rolls.

2. Small pouch to contain my small items like comb, mirror, nail clipper etc. Makeup pouch also can, but dont get me a big one cuz my barang barang is usually heavy n bulky enough.

3. Electrical toothbrush. Haha, want a try of it.

4. Perfume, sweet smelling ones... I haven reseacrh any, but my Boss one is running out soon. Dont want green apple one like Stiney, lots of horror sotries come from same fragrance friends.

5. Vouchers of... anything. Maybe The FaceShop? Hmmm...... transfer money also can la.

6. Small handbag, not too high class looking, so can bring it out for some more common events like dinning in hawker centre. Keep in mind I got a long wallet.

7. Wacom tablet? Haha. Meduim size will do.

8. Anything handmade? But not big like some A2 size wooden board that I have no space to display.

Generation XYZ

Kids now adays are so spoilt, really very spoilt. During my blading lesson at Bishan Park today, I saw this father "serving" his 2 daughters with the blading gears.

From wearing socks, wearing the blades and to the protective guards, the father did everything for his 2 daughters. I was there thinking, WTH was that! The 2 ladies look sec 1 or sec 2 age, at the least is pri 5 or 6, OLD ENOUGH TO KNOW HOW TO TAKE CARE OF THEMSELVES!!!! I don't know if the father is the willing party or what, but the 2 gals just sat on the chair and did nothing while the father did this, not even lowering their heads and speak to the father. AT LEAST TRY TO GEAR UP YOURSELVES!

They are lucky enough to have parents sponsoring them of the lessons, yet they had their father serving. RIDICULOUS! Their expressions look numb, they give me the feel of retarded normal kids.

I dont understand y i have to stay up so late to wait for you to travel all the way from the end to the heartland of Singapore just to read some chat window with nothing that involve me.

Irritated

Had been working at the IMH (Instituition of Mental Health) as a temp for the past 3 days. Totali disappointed in Recruit Express and never to trust them ever again. And abt the IMH management, PLS IMPROVE ON YOUR COMMUNICATION.

We was told its an admin cum customer service cum medication dispensing post in IMH, 8 to 5 and oni a 5 days wk. So you must be thinking its sitting in a nice air conditional couter and facing mentalli disabled patients. BUT HELL!! Its for the Subutex users can! Mostly drug addicts!!

The place is full of Cisco and CBM guards, on full alert to nab or confront those trouble maker. All patients are so festive, looks just like what might happen when the hell gate opens for the hungry ghosts good actors also. The place is humid, smelly and so not comfortable. When we get there, they wanted us to work as late as to 9 pm and 7 days a week, totaly different story from what we got from the agency.

Being at the very front counter just infront of the "hell gate" we are given all the shit and taking all the blame the managment did wrongly. Kena critized and getting racist treatment from every one. WE ARE ALSO BEING LABELED AS SLACKING AND LAZING ARD THE WHOLE TIME WHEN WE ARE FUCKING BUSY AND NO TIME FOR WATER! And having a colleague who never listen to you and making you taking all the blame, if its not because of having stine with me, i might have just join the hungry ghost queue. There are so many sections of the whole process and we have to follow 10 different orders from 10 different ppl to process 1 patient data, anyone buay song will come and hack us with a chopper if they have one.

But frankly speaking, its a good environment for holiday job, nice experience to share when school re-opens. We made quite a few good buddies there, and coming to a conclusion, Cisco guards are veri good future target. In case Aik Hsien you search your name on the net, you might see this. Never had been so enjoyable

Was at the chalet yesterday with ps, sz and stine. Pity that the chairman isn't there, but we still enjoy. Haha

We decided to use the NDP coupon and book a chalet for 2 day 1 night at costa sands. Went to wild wild wet and woo! We tried all the rides, if the samsung slide isn't so heavy and hard to carry we might have did it a 2nd time.

The bbq was such a success and we are so proud to be able to get the fire started with oni 3 starters. But things went out of control abit when too much oil and honey drip down. We played things toofast, i think if its not so gan cheong, our bbq will be a total success. All the meat are totali cooked, no blood and hard meat. The marshmellow we bought is super duper nice! Easy to roast and so nice! not too sweet also. Yummy! Buy the american bbq brand.

We watched gao xiao xing ren wang and HEAVENS!!! WHOS IN!!! OUR OLD ZH PAL!! If ps didn say it, i would not have noticed its him, grown fat sia.

I think we shld hold another one, 3 days 2 nights... yeah! With the chairman joining us too. Oh yeah stine, why didn we tot of grilling dory fish! we sld try nxt time. Till then, take care everyone!!!!

When i picked up the first call this morning, i tot im going to die on spot...

Being suffocated by the breath of a 100 yr old cave dweller who has not brush his teeth in the pass hundred yrs. The phone SMELLS! How many people had used that and how long it had not been cleaned.

Next is the fill up a pail with water and delto and clean up all phones in the house. Hmmm.. they smell nice in delto now, but the one in my room is even better because i sprayed Boss perfume on it. Haha, wasteful, but i got it free and the smell is kind of turning already so have to use it ma.

Stiney, im not mad at you la, if you haven sms i tot because you sis is using it or what. But things are differently judged by what they done, and how often it happens. For you, i'm already used to it.. no big deal la.

41st National Day

Yeah~~ Its the 41st National day and I was lucky to be able to attend the NDP at Kallang Stadium yesterday, b4 it went into its makeover session. Will future NDP hold there is still a mystery.....

Anyway, the tix came from my bro's gf's ah gong. Don't know why they dont want to go so its passed to me and mummy.



We are at the green sector. North.

On the way from the Kallang station, there are street performance to ensure the crowd that they are on the right track.



And "ah gu", also dressed in red, decided to chup in and make good use of himself instead of eating grass in some unpopulated grassland.


"Follow me and my buddies and you won't be lost... Moo... I'm waiting to see fireworks also.."

After some squeezing and queuing, I'm sweating all over, advice, Singaporeans, pls use deodrants and spray some perfume. I almost suffocated by those aunties n uncles BO. Here we are at the location of the parade.



When we are seated, the stadium is still so grey, so empty....



And Singaporeans started their personality and looked thru the goodies bag and prepared the weapons. Everyone is so happy.




I got one louya clapping stick which keeps deflating, so me n my mum share one pair. And i didn't know they got limited edition hat, so different.



"Hee.. see my hat so special, i'm going to bid it at high price at the ebay. Don't be jealous la..."


Eh, what happen? Y so many hands come out? Its hungry ghost festival leh, dont play play.

Aiyah, its only the motivators throwing extra goodies la, see the ppl so enthu.


"Hey hey, i got extra tibits, faster keep, if not the ppl will snatch mine."

And who are the one to lead the ppl and make the crowd ROAR!!! Yes the motivators!
