玩具又少了

话说,前一阵子,本人情绪低落,意志消沉。
很轻易的被欲望前者鼻子走,
到某处撒钱去。
奢侈的买了新玩具。。。。。。。

Panasonic GX1 as I had mentioned in some previous post.

It's not a Single Lens Reflex (SLR), but similar with changable lens. They call it the mirrorless camera, or Micro 4 Thirds for Panasonic and Olympus. Yeah jargons, its everywhere, I hate them (and no, I don't understand why is it call 4/3). The world will be a better place if people didn't invent jargons.

Anyway, it was bought out of pure greed and ambitious, as I thought my Canon sx100 is working fine. So now I can have the best of both worlds.

Gx1 gets me closer to being artistic but I'm limited to the lenses that I can collect, and so there are some functions that cannot be worked on. While sx100 give me the ease of point-and-shoot (it is not compact), 10x zoom and macro shots in just one camera.

I was still loving my sx100, it gives me pretty lot of manual functions to pretend to be artistic, but still laziness made me depend on auto functions more, and so I didn't actually use them.

I did a lot of read up before buying GX1 (I swear it was after my exam), make sure I understand most of the jargons and terms before doing this action, else GX1 will just be a piece of crap, performing worse then compact cameras.

But as usual, this tech slave can't be happy for long. I can never stay in the region where both world overlapse.

Read that I thought?

Yes, sx100 had abadoned me. That GX1 pic was taken by sx100, just, but its strange that it was better.

Can see the problem? Nope its not photo editing effect. THERE ARE STREAKS ON THE PICS SX100 TAKES.

A simple search on Google and came out "shutter jam".

The problem already existed during Jasmine's wedding, or even before. I only start using it at the banquet, and I discover that the photos I took are strangly over-exposed in such lighting. But being to tired to matter with the settings I gave up photographing, because there are so many people taking, I'm sure I can get some from *ahem, Liyan?* or online.

I can't trace back when because I haven't been using it much after Taiwan trip, and all the photos were well, thank god.

I did take it out a few times to play with the settings but never discover the problem, and I had deleted all those test pictures.

MAJOR SAD!

If I have know it I wouldn't have bought GX1 first.

GX1 is pretty manual and depends largly on the lens, and now I'm stranded because the basic lens that came with the bundle HAVE NO ANTI-SHAKE, and no macros, like the unicorn picture, GX1 cannot acheive at all!

I'm now in dilemma. To buy a macro lens? Which cost i think a freaking $400+++++++ or an adapter for $100++++ or a point and shoot camera (which actually is for family usage too, mum and bro)? I'm not going to lend GX1 to inexperience hands! Like I say it will be crap if you don't know how to control.

Haiz, what should I do? Especially when, I have a date with YM on 7/7 for Garden Festival 2012! What is plant photography with no macros?

ps: GX1 I'm not saying you are bad, it is just me not having enough fund to feed you now, don't ever pon me please!

Spell check is not working and I'm not going to check misspelts. Go ahead and judge my English.
