Garden Festival 2012: If I can have the luxury at home
If I have all the funds and control what will my living habitat be?
I surely want a balcony, a little relaxation place, a simple coffee table and surround with plants.

The bottom one is my favourite.
If I can have even more, a villa, a backyard

Windy curtains and the sound of flowing waters, I just want to stay at home.

And if I got endless maintenance fees, having a misty mythical forest like one is cool too.
A room, like this is perfect for watching TV, I will just have the entertainment room all laid with tatamis.
And I have always want a terrarium indoor. Its just so cool like a little forest.
Welcome to my home, hope you enjoy the tour, come and visit next time.

If you have been waiting..
Sorry for not updating again, I was terribly KO-ed by the flu bug.

I wasn't even able to clear my show list.
Nose 100% block, aching bones, level 8 sore throat and then now weak lungs, I still don't get how I manage to live 27 years.
Also I didn't have the mood to respond to most of the communication under the influence of drugs, not playing any tantrum here.
Anyway I went to the Gardens by the Bay today with mummy, because the Garden Festival tix has got a 20% off to one conservatory tix.

Thanks to YM for giving her ticket
So hmmm, more flowery photos.

Garden Festival 2012: The Wedding Plan
I have 300 over photos to sort, have not finish admiring the work of art from my GX1 yet, just a short entry inspired by YM, haha.
Among the first few of the display was this,
"Ohhh I like!"
"Yar, your favourite red, take more for your future reference."
"决定了!I want my gown to be like that."
"How long you want your train to be?"
"Hmm see my age then.."
"The older the longer or the other way?"
"The other way!"
And the aisle,
Snowy, dreamy and
Admit it, everyone knows I love blings!
Above, note for my wedding planner.
Lastly, a proud work of my new love.

First Outing!
Going Garden Festival 2012 tomorrow! First outing with my new GX1, can't wait for the outcome!
Update: The show itself is a let down, too much green and brown. So little colours. Even the decorations outside the hall is better then like half of the display.. looks like a rushed event.
But the performance of GX1 is HOLY!

玩具又少了
话说,前一阵子,本人情绪低落,意志消沉。
很轻易的被欲望前者鼻子走,
到某处撒钱去。
奢侈的买了新玩具。。。。。。。
Panasonic GX1 as I had mentioned in some previous post.
It's not a Single Lens Reflex (SLR), but similar with changable lens. They call it the mirrorless camera, or Micro 4 Thirds for Panasonic and Olympus. Yeah jargons, its everywhere, I hate them (and no, I don't understand why is it call 4/3). The world will be a better place if people didn't invent jargons.
Anyway, it was bought out of pure greed and ambitious, as I thought my Canon sx100 is working fine. So now I can have the best of both worlds.
Gx1 gets me closer to being artistic but I'm limited to the lenses that I can collect, and so there are some functions that cannot be worked on. While sx100 give me the ease of point-and-shoot (it is not compact), 10x zoom and macro shots in just one camera.
I was still loving my sx100, it gives me pretty lot of manual functions to pretend to be artistic, but still laziness made me depend on auto functions more, and so I didn't actually use them.
I did a lot of read up before buying GX1 (I swear it was after my exam), make sure I understand most of the jargons and terms before doing this action, else GX1 will just be a piece of crap, performing worse then compact cameras.
But as usual, this tech slave can't be happy for long. I can never stay in the region where both world overlapse.
Read that I thought?
Yes, sx100 had abadoned me. That GX1 pic was taken by sx100, just, but its strange that it was better.
Can see the problem? Nope its not photo editing effect. THERE ARE STREAKS ON THE PICS SX100 TAKES.
A simple search on Google and came out "shutter jam".
The problem already existed during Jasmine's wedding, or even before. I only start using it at the banquet, and I discover that the photos I took are strangly over-exposed in such lighting. But being to tired to matter with the settings I gave up photographing, because there are so many people taking, I'm sure I can get some from *ahem, Liyan?* or online.
I can't trace back when because I haven't been using it much after Taiwan trip, and all the photos were well, thank god.
I did take it out a few times to play with the settings but never discover the problem, and I had deleted all those test pictures.
MAJOR SAD!
If I have know it I wouldn't have bought GX1 first.
GX1 is pretty manual and depends largly on the lens, and now I'm stranded because the basic lens that came with the bundle HAVE NO ANTI-SHAKE, and no macros, like the unicorn picture, GX1 cannot acheive at all!
I'm now in dilemma. To buy a macro lens? Which cost i think a freaking $400+++++++ or an adapter for $100++++ or a point and shoot camera (which actually is for family usage too, mum and bro)? I'm not going to lend GX1 to inexperience hands! Like I say it will be crap if you don't know how to control.
Haiz, what should I do? Especially when, I have a date with YM on 7/7 for Garden Festival 2012! What is plant photography with no macros?
ps: GX1 I'm not saying you are bad, it is just me not having enough fund to feed you now, don't ever pon me please!
Spell check is not working and I'm not going to check misspelts. Go ahead and judge my English.

Nicolas Cage was being labeled as a vampire after some one found an old photo of "him"
Now there is another one.

The Camera Thing
Before I turn this into some "I hate the world and the moronic things technology brings us and the inhumane world" ranting blog, lets share some, in my opinion, good thing.
You know the thing about camera? Technology just upgrade upgrade and upgrade, but your camera just don't die in time for you to change.
My computer dies like 5 times, disposed off like 3 mp3 players, 2 handphones and a few electronics at home like the DVD player and such. Their remains probably burnt, return to earth and being reproduced already the camera just don't die.
I have like 3 working ones at home, the oldest being the film camera which I suppose is about my age, no zoom at all.
But being a tech slave and self proclaim photography lover can't stop myself from looking for newer better ones when they are still working. Because I have to admit that the 12x optical zoom is actually shit.
No, not into SLR thingy, but I like compact cameras that can do wonders like manual focusing and changing exposure yada yada yada, example like the over publicised Nex5, or Panasonic LX5 or Canon S100. That kind.
I have played with Canon, its... good, but the dials are not that convenient, you probably shift the focus way off before you set to the desired settings.
Anyway, I was Googling for Panasonic GF3 which was like sitting at the counter top at Best Denki with "Special Price" around, it will still burn my bank a/c, and I found this.
He is, I suppose from Hong Kong, and he speaks like the Britain Top Gear host whom my bro likes.
Anyway, he did reviews the way I like, comparing similar camera and their outcome side by side. Fascinating. And I fall in love with his Leica M! But I last checked few hours ago its going at SGD 33000. CRAZY. No typo, its 5digits, no decimals.
So I continue with the other reviews, I was checking the GF3 and OUT, then next was the Canon G1 X which I was attracted my the swirving screen, its totally bimbotic to buy for that screen, OUT.
Then the Panasonic GX1, it is pretty cool! It has manual focus like Iphone which you touch and it focus. Imagine if I'm able to use that for my favourite Chrysanthmums back in Taiwan, I will die with less regret now.
But still I don't have the funds to play with such luxury yet. And there are the Pentax and Nikon I have yet to check out yet. I still can't get over the Leica.....
I think this have been circulating since some times ago, but I'm keeping this as a bookmark. Ha.
Alright prepare for bed and dream of owning a Leica.

Man-made Human?
After 2 abduction claims, and a boy being pushed down the escalator :-
A mum, sat on the bench, plays on Draw something, and leaves her two kids with a maid, playing, climbing, running at the bus stop.
Are you not worried? How can a maid handle 2 kids?
When the bus arrived, her son called out, she stood up at an instance shouts to her daughter.
"Mei mei come!"
The kid then came running towards her mum while the bus drive in, so close to the curb!
The mum not worried at all and added on "faster".
Then in the bus, she continues to play with get phone.
Have you still have any motherly instinct?
Mammals are different from other species because they took care of their young while they grow.
And these people now endangered their kids over technology.
Are human still human? It's just so sad watching such things being so common.
